By using any ROBOLOCO products, software, service, website or application, or visiting any ROBOLOCO website or application (collectively, the "Services"), you are declaring that you understand and agree to the terms of this policy.
1. What Information Do We Collect?
a. Personally-Identifiable Information: We may collect personally identifiable information when you specifically and knowingly provide it to us, for example when you access the Services and provide User Content (as defined in the ROBOLOCO Terms of Service), or when you contact us with your name, address, or email address. ROBOLOCO does not consider personal Information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not allow a third party to easily identify a specific individual. We collect and use personally-identifiable information to operate and improve our Services, to allow you to provide third parties or other Users access to your User Content, to provide customer service, to communicate with you when requested, and to perform research and analysis aimed at improving our products, services and technologies.
You may always choose not to provide personal information, but if you so choose, the Services will not be available to you. Note that personally identifiable information we collect and your User Content may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which we or our affiliates, subsidiaries, contractors or agents maintain facilities; by using the Services, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
b. Non-Personally-Identifiable Information: We may collect and aggregate non-personally identifiable information, such hardware types, geographic location, and access times and durations.
c. Website Use and Technologies: When you use the Services, ROBOLOCO, or third parties on our behalf, may collect non-personally identifiable information via the use of pixels, programs, cookies and other similar technologies. Cookies, for example, are pieces of information that are transferred to an individual's hard drive for record-keeping purposes. They are used to assist you in using site information and content by saving your user preferences which allows us to identify registered users and save you time by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information. They are also used to collect aggregate information about users on an anonymous basis. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. In addition to cookies, we may use other technologies, including single-pixel gifs (also known as web beacons) on our websites and in promotional e-mail messages or newsletters. These electronic images assist us in determining how many users have visited certain pages or opened messages or newsletters. We do not use these single-pixel gifs to collect personal information.
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser setting to decline cookies or to request your permission each time a service attempts to set a cookie. Please be aware that the site is optimally designed to operate with cookies enabled in your internet browser. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to sign in or use other interactive features of the Services that depend on cookies.
2. What Do We Do With The Information That We Collect?
a. ROBOLOCO will use the personally identifiable information directly submitted by you and your User Content solely for the purpose for which you have provided it, such as registration, providing other users access to your User Content, or request information from us. We may share this as your agent and attorney-in-fact with the third-parties which you have selected to perform services on your behalf, or service providers who perform services on our behalf such as providing data storage, data transmission, etc. Those companies will be permitted to obtain only the personal information they need to provide the Services, will be required to maintain the confidentiality of the information, and will be prohibited from using it for any other purpose. Also, if we go through a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, data we gather from you may be part of the assets transferred or shared in connection with due diligence for any such transaction. Any acquirer or successor company may continue to use the data we collect from you as described in this notice.
b. ROBOLOCO, third-parties you authorize, or our third-party partners will use non-personally-identifiable information to track and analyze usage and volume statistical information from our users to administer content and to provide the Services. We may also perform statistical analysis of user behavior in order to measure interest in our online products and services for product development purposes.
c. Disclosure: As a general rule, ROBOLOCO will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information or your User Content except under one of the following circumstances: we have your permission; we determine in good faith that it is legally required to be revealed by any relevant statute, regulation, ordinance, rule, administrative or court order, decree, or subpoena; information revealed during the course of ROBOLOCO’s enforcement of the policies and procedures of the Services; information that we determine must be disclosed to correct what we believe to be false or misleading information or to address activities that we believe to be manipulative, deceptive or otherwise a violation of law; where you are otherwise notified at the time we collect the data; where we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; when such disclosure is made subject to confidentiality restrictions in connection with a sale, merger, transfer, exchange, or other disposition (whether of assets, stock, or otherwise) of all or a portion of the business conducted by ROBOLOCO. ROBOLOCO may share the non-personally identifiable information that ROBOLOCO gathers, in aggregate form only, with advertisers and other partners.
ROBOLOCO is committed to protecting the privacy of children who use our Services, website and applications. This provision explains our information collection, disclosure, and parental consent practices with respect to information provided by children under the age of 13 (“child” or “children”). This policy is in accordance with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). In any instance that we collect personal information from a child, we will retain that information only so long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the activity request or allow the child to continue to participate in the activity, and ensure the security of our users and our services, or as required by law. In the event we discover we have collected information from a child in a manner inconsistent with COPPA’s requirements, we will either delete the information or immediately seek the parent’s consent for that collection.
Some of the features on our sites and applications are age-gated so that they are not available for use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in connection with those features.
Children can, in many cases, register with our Services, websites or applications to view content, participate in coding or robotics development, and engage in special features, among other things. During the registration process, we may ask the child to provide certain information for notification and security purposes, including a parent or guardian’s email address, the child’s first name and gender, the child’s member or account username, and password. We also may ask for birth dates from children to validate their ages. We strongly advise children never to provide any personal information in their usernames. Please note that children can choose whether to share their information with us, but certain features cannot function without it. As a result, children may not be able to access certain features if required information has not been provided. We will not require a child to provide more information than is reasonably necessary in order to participate in an online activity.
Parent email address: Consistent with the requirements of COPPA, in any instance where we ask for age and determine the user is age 12 or under, we will ask for a parent or guardian email address before we collect any personal information from the child. If you believe your child is participating in an activity that collects personal information and you or another parent/guardian have NOT received an email providing notice or seeking your consent, please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will not use parent emails provided for parental consent purposes to market to the parent, unless the parent has expressly opted in to email marketing or has separately participated in an activity that allows for such email contact.
b. Content Generated by a Child
Certain parts of the Services, websites and/or applications allow children to create or manipulate content and save it with ROBOLOCO. Some of these activities do not require children to provide any personal information and therefore may not result in notice to the parent or require parental consent. If an activity potentially allows a child to insert personal information in their created content, we will either pre-screen the submission to delete any personal information, or we will seek verifiable parental consent by email for the collection.
Parental Consent by Email: If we wish to collect personal information from a child, COPPA requires that we first seek a parent or guardian’s consent by email. In the email we will explain what information we are collecting, how we plan to use it, how the parent can provide consent, and how the parent can revoke consent. If we do not receive parental consent within a reasonable time, we will delete the parent contact information and any other information collected from the child in connection with that activity.
Teacher consent in lieu of a parent: With regard to school-based or teacher-based activities, COPPA allows teachers and school administrators to act in the stead of parents to provide consent for the collection of personal information from children. Schools should always notify parents about these activities. For more information on parental rights with respect to a child’s educational record under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), please visit the FERPA site.
c. Email Contact with a Child
On occasion, in order to respond to a question or request from a child, we may need to ask for the child’s online contact information, such as an email address. We will delete this information immediately after responding to the question or request.
In connection with certain activities or services, we may collect a child’s online contact information, such as an email address, in order to communicate with the child more than once. In such instances we will retain the child’s online contact information to honor the request and for no other purpose such as marketing. One example would be a newsletter that provides occasional updates about a site, activity, or project. Whenever we collect a child’s online contact information for ongoing communications, we will simultaneously require a parent email address in order to notify the parent about the collection and use of the child’s information, as well as to provide the parent an opportunity to prevent further contact with the child. On some occasions a child may be engaged in more than one ongoing communication, and a parent may be required to “opt-out” of each communication individually.
d. Parent Controls
At any time, parents can refuse to permit us to collect further personal information from their children in association with a particular account, and can request that we delete from our records the personal information we have collected in connection with that account. Please keep in mind that a request to delete records may lead to a termination of an account, membership, or other service. Parents can request access to and delete their child’s personal information by logging on to the child’s account through the Member Page using their child’s username and password. Parents can also contact us to request access to, change, or delete their child’s personal information by sending an email to us at email@example.com
4. International Usage
The Services are owned by ROBOLOCO and may be accessed in the United States and abroad. For data protection purposes, ROBOLOCO is the controller. ROBOLOCO or third-parties you authorize may be the processor of Your User Content. Your data may be sent to the United States and possibly other countries. We store data about and from Users on servers located in the United States, and we may also store this data on servers and equipment in other countries. Information collected may be retained, and may be stored, processed, accessed, and used in jurisdictions whose privacy laws may be different and less protective than those of your home jurisdiction. If you are located outside of the United States, please note that the information you provide to us may be transferred to the United States. By using the Services, application and/or website, you consent to such transfer.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to help protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet, mobile technology, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. Therefore, while we endeavor to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the confidentiality of the information that we collect online, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Our Service has security measures in place designed to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We use standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption that encodes information for such transmissions. All Services information is maintained on secure servers. Access to stored data is protected by multi-layered security controls including firewalls, role-based access controls and passwords. You are responsible to keep your Vehicle access information secure.

To request deletion of, access to, or to make changes to data we’ve collected from you via the Services, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that even if you request that we delete data we’ve collected from you, we may still retain data collected from you in an aggregated or anonymized form that does not identify you. We also will not delete your data if we are legally required to maintain it.
If you are receiving promotional emails from us, you can choose to stop receiving those by following the unsubscribe/opt-out instructions in those emails. You can also opt-out by contacting email@example.com.
